Annual renewal of water feature levy in Pinnacle Ridge

A previous version of this release indiciated May 30 for the Operational Services Committee Meeting, whereas it is April 30. This is corrected below.

Residents of Pinnacle Ridge are asked to provide their feedback on the $12.50 levy which supports the operation and maintenance of the front entrance fountain and water feature.

Gravel Road Bans Declared as of Friday, March 15, 2024

UPDATE: April 19, 2024

As of Friday, April 19, 2024 the gravel roads ban has been updated to be in effect at 75% axle weight 24 hours a day on all gravel roads.


The City of Grande Prairie begins gravel road bans on Friday, March 15, 2024 restricting travel on all gravel roads within City limits.

All gravel roads will be at 75% axle weight between the hours of 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Residential Snow Clearing Begins Thursday, February 29

A round of residential snow removal starts Thursday, February 29.

Residential snow clearing commences when declared by the City with consideration of snow accumulations and forecasted weather. Current snowfall has led to conditions where a round of residential snow clearing is warranted.

Two-week rotations of residential snow clearing occurs when declared and is completed by contracted snow removal crews from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

City reinstates parking bans on permanent snow routes starting Tuesday, January 23

The City of Grande Prairie has announced parking bans on permanent snow routes starting Tuesday, January 23.

The parking ban restricts parking on permanent snow routes (priority 1 and 2 routes) from Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. until the ban is lifted. Parking bans come into effect to ensure safe access to roadways during snow removal operations.
