Engineering Services permits are required for any work being done on city property: on-street construction and maintenance, barricades, crossings, driveways, and temporary traffic control.
Any new residential or commercial development, or work being done to a parcel, that may alter the established drainage on the parcel, is required to obtain a lot grading permit prior to construction.
A development permit authorizes development pursuant to the Land Use Bylaw and any other Bylaw governing land use within the City, and includes the plans and conditions of approval. Development includes new buildings and changes in use or intensity of the use of the land or building.
