The Neighbourhood Banner Program invites residents to submit banner designs to be displayed within their neighbourhood on light poles throughout its streets.
The Neighbourhood Program is being introduced to help promote community pride, beautify the city and make Grande Prairie a great place to live, work and play. All Grande Prairie residents are welcome to participate.
Banner designs must contain images that pertain to your neighbourhood and/or community.
Banners are to be designed with input from members of your neighbourhood.
Multiple banner designs can be accepted from each neighbourhood.
A maximum of three banner designs can be accepted from each neighbourhood during each application intake. Neighbourhoods that received banners through this program in 2022 are not eligible to receive more banners during the 2023 intake.
Banner designs must be free of corporate logos. All banner designs must be submitted at a minimum of 72 DPI (dots per inch) in any format. Finished banners will be sized to 2 feet wide by 4 feet high (24" x 48"). The visual area of the artwork on the banner will be 17" wide x 48" high.
All writing and details must be kept 3" away from the top and bottom edge and 1" from either side. This makes the artwork safe area 16" wide x 42.5" high. Any details outside this safe area may be covered or cut off.
The City of Grande Prairie logo will be added by the City in the bottom corner of the banner and the neighbourhood names along the side of the banner. Please do not add the City logo or neighbourhood name to your design.
The City of Grande Prairie reserves the right to approve or reject any and all banner designs according to the above regulations
