GPLIP Council
The GPLIP Council provides strategic leadership and oversight. Council members represent key sectors across the community, including:
- Settlement and newcomer services
- Employers and business
- Education and training institutions
- Health and social services
- Indigenous organizations
- Government
- Community and cultural organizations
The Council works together to:
- Guide local immigration priorities.
- Support collaboration across sectors.
- Review progress and community needs.
- Strengthen newcomer integration planning.
Immigrant Advisory Table (IAT)
The Immigrant Advisory Table (IAT) is made up of immigrants who bring valuable lived experience as newcomers to Grande Prairie and Canada. The IAT ensures immigrant voices are part of local planning and decision-making.
The IAT:
- Share newcomer experiences and perspectives.
- Identify challenges and service gaps.
- Provide advice to the GPLIP Council.
- Support community engagement and consultation.
Governance and Terms of Reference
GPLIP operates under a Governance Framework and Terms of Reference (TOR) that guide our structure, roles, and decision-making processes.
The TOR is reviewed and updated annually to reflect current priorities.
Please note: The TOR is an internal working document shared with GPLIP Council and Immigrant Advisory Table members upon joining and available to them upon request.
Accountability
As the holder of the IRCC funding agreement, the City of Grande Prairie provides administrative oversight and ensures compliance with funding requirements.
