Our outdoor facilities and amenities provide opportunities for both large-scale events such as festivals and sporting events as well as more intimate events including block parties and picnics.
The City can accommodate events in various outdoor facilities including parks, downtown, facility green spaces and more.
Park Use Permit
City parks and green spaces are available to book for smaller events such as weddings, community parties, photography and more.
Large Scale Outdoor Events
Hosting Your Own Outdoor Event
If you're looking to organize an Outdoor Event such as a festival, parade, race, or similar public gathering on City property that impacts two (2) or more City services (e.g., fire services, police, transportation services, etc.), an Outdoor Event Permit is required.
Please submit your completed Outdoor Event Permit Application Form, along with the applicable non-refundable Application Fee.
*Please note that an Application Fee is not required for a registered non-profit organization.
Submission Deadlines:
- Applications involving a road closure must be submitted at least 90 days before the Outdoor Event, unless otherwise authorized by the City.
- All other Outdoor Event Permit Applications are due at least 60 days before the Outdoor Event, unless otherwise authorized by the City.

Participating in a City-Hosted Outdoor Event
To take part in City-hosted Outdoor Events as a food vendor, community booth vendor, or parade participant, please contact the Event Coordinator at events@cityofgp.com.
