Grande Prairie Inclusive and Caring Community Project

Grande Prairie Inclusive and Caring Community Project

GPICC Phase One

From 2023 to 2025, the City of Grande Prairie led the Grande Prairie Inclusive and Caring Community (GPICC) project, which was funded through a $300,000 grant from the Government of Alberta's Settlement, Integration and Language Program (SILP). The initiative focused on creating a more inclusive community by helping employers, service providers, and local organizations better support the integration and retention of newcomers.

GPICC Phase Two

Building on the momentum of the 2023–2025 Grande Prairie Inclusive and Caring Community (GPICC) project, Phase two focuses on turning successful pilot tools into sustainable, employer-driven practices that help retain and integrate newcomers into Grande Prairie’s workforce. This new phase is funded through Alberta’s Settlement, Integration and Language Program (SILP) and runs from April 2025 to March 2027.
