The City of Grande Prairie's current initiatives include the Mobile Outreach program, housing-focused shelter staff, a Prevention and Shelter Diversion program, scattered-site housing with intensive case management supports, and congregate-site supportive housing with 24-hour on-site assistance.

 

 The City also conducts a bi-annual Point-in-Time Count to better understand local homelessness trends and hosts an annual Connect Day to help individuals experiencing homelessness access community supports and services. In addition, the City facilitates an annual Memorial Event to honour and remember community members who have passed away while experiencing homelessness.
