Commercial/Industrial/Multi-Family Driveway Request Application

Commercial/industrial/multi-family driveway requests are required to widen an existing, or to build a new, driveway for a commercial/industrial or multi-family building; and should be submitted by the contractor performing the work.

Fees and Timelines

There is a $550.00 fee associated with commercial/industrial/multi-family driveway permits. Additional securities will also be required. Permit requests are processed within three business days of being received.

Residential Lot Grading Permit

Any new residential development, or work being done to a residential parcel, that may alter the established drainage on the parcel, is required to obtain a residential lot grading permit prior to construction.

Fees and Timelines

An $100 fee is associated with residential lot grading permit applications. Applications are processed within five business days of the completed application form and lot grading plan being received.

Fee Update Notice

Fees and rates will be updated effective January 1, 2026.

Engineering Services Permit Inspection Request

The inspection request form is submitted when the permit work has been completed. If the inspection is approved, 50% of the security amount will be refunded. There is then a two year warranty period, and it is then inspected again for the release of the remaining security amount.

Fees and Timelines

There are no fees associated with the engineering services permit inspection request. Inspections will be performed within five business days of the request being received.

Drainage and Lot Grading Complaint Witness Statement

Drainage and Lot Grading Complaint Witness Statement forms may be submitted when a resident is aware of a Drainage Bylaw or Lot Grading Bylaw infraction.

Fees and Timelines

There is no fee for submitting a witness statement.

Addressing and Roadway Naming

In certain instances, an existing address may be changed if it is creating inherent confusion for service delivery, or where emergency response identifies it as necessary. Anyone requesting additional suite numbering or building numbering is also required to fill out and submit the New/Change of Address form.
