Join the City of Grande Prairie for a New Year’s Eve-ning Out in Muskoseepi Park on December 31, 2023 for festive family activities and fireworks to wrap up 2023.

“Council looks forward to the New Year’s Eve-ning Out event each year as an accessible and inclusive event for the community to enjoy during the holidays,” said Mayor Jackie Clayton. “Council invites everyone to come together, share in the festive spirit and create memories while celebrating the new year.”

Harvest Festival Event Returns to Muskoseepi Park September 16

The City of Grande Prairie is excited to announce the return of it’s fall-themed Harvest Festival event happening September 16, 2023 in Muskoseepi Park from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“An important piece of ensuring a high quality of life for our residents includes hosting events where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities feel welcome,” said Mayor Jackie Clayton. “Harvest Festival includes many fun and age-inclusive activities to get the whole community involved while celebrating a change of the season.”

Aquatera Outdoor Pool Schedule Now Available with Season Opener at Here Comes Summer Event

The Aquatera Outdoor Pool schedule is now available as the facility opens for the season on Saturday, June 3 with the new Here Comes Summer event, in partnership with Aquatera Utilities Inc.

The outdoor pool swimming schedule in June includes public swim on Mondays to Fridays from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Public swimming hours expand for the rest of the summer starting in July at 12 p.m. instead of 3 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. instead of 12 p.m. on weekends.

City Partners with Aquatera Utilities Inc. to Present New Here Comes Summer Event June 3

The City of Grande Prairie has partnered with Aquatera Utilities Inc. to introduce a new event called Here Comes Summer to kick-off the opening of multiple City-run outdoor amenities this year.

Here Comes Summer takes place at Muskoseepi Park on June 3, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes the following fun and free activities:

Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool Wrapping Up Summer Season

The Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool is wrapping up its 2019 summer swim season on Sunday, September 15.

The outdoor pool re-opened the newly renovated facility on August 24.

Warmer temperatures over the past week have encouraged strong attendance, with the pool reaching capacity twice on Labour Day. Typically, the pool sees between 50-150 swimmers throughout various times of the day.

Tim Hortons Sponsoring Toonie Tuesday Swim at Outdoor Pool

The City of Grande Prairie is happy to announce a new partnership with Tim Hortons to sponsor Toonie Tuesdays at the Outdoor Pool.

Starting Tuesday, August 27, the new Toonie Tuesday promotion will offer $2 public swim admission to the pool for all age groups from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. every Tuesday until the end of the 2019 summer season. A portion of all proceeds will be donated back to support the Tim Hortons Foundations Camps.
