The City of Grande Prairie is excited to announce the live entertainment lineup for this year’s Canada Day celebrations, presented by New Horizon Co-op, at Muskoseepi Park on July 1.

Live entertainment kicks off at the amphitheatre with Elder Theresa Gladue singing O’ Canada in Cree at 3:30 p.m. following the Canada Day parade. Live music continues with the following artists performing throughout the evening:

  • Hailey Benedict
  • The Northbloods
  • Brent Boivin Band
  • TJ Ruckus Band
  • Indigenous performance groups

“The free live entertainment is one of the many pieces that come together to make our annual Canada Day festivities enjoyable and accessible for our community,” said Mayor Jackie Clayton. “Residents are invited to come out and enjoy everything the City has to offer on Canada Day, including the high calibre live music performances from both Canadian and local artists.”

Beer gardens are also being held next to the amphitheatre from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fire dancers are performing in the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion parking lot beginning at 11 p.m. to finish off the live performances before fireworks are set off over Muskoseepi Park reservoir at 11:30 p.m.

The City looks forward to hosting another year of free Canada Day celebrations featuring the parade, swimming at the Aquatera Outdoor Pool, live music, bouncy castles, carnival rides and games, free transit, a fireworks display and more.
