Join the City of Grande Prairie for a New Year’s Eve-ning Out in Muskoseepi Park on December 31, 2023 for festive family activities and fireworks to wrap up 2023.

“Council looks forward to the New Year’s Eve-ning Out event each year as an accessible and inclusive event for the community to enjoy during the holidays,” said Mayor Jackie Clayton. “Council invites everyone to come together, share in the festive spirit and create memories while celebrating the new year.”

Come down to Muskoseepi Park for a variety of indoor and outdoor activities running between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Outdoor activities include:

  • Horse and wagon rides until 9 p.m. for $1 per person (per ride).
  • Skating party with lights and a DJ on the Muskoseepi pond.
  • Snowshoeing with free snowshoe rentals.
  • Fire dancing from 10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • Fireworks will set off at 10:30 p.m. over the Muskoseepi Park reservoir.

Indoor activities, taking place in the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion, include:

  • Live music from local artists.
  • Free hot beverages, including hot chocolate, apple cider and coffee, provided by New Horizon Co-op.
  • Children’s activities including crafts and colouring.
  • Free cake beginning at 6 p.m. (while supplies last) provided by New Horizon Co-op.
  • Face painting for $1 per person.
