The City of Grande Prairie is currently recruiting public members to join the new Coordinated Care Campus Community Advisory Committee.

The purpose of the committee is to provide a connection between the Coordinated Care Campus and the community, with members providing advice and feedback on matters related to the facility.

City Recruiting New Indigenous Relations Advisor

The City of Grande Prairie is currently hiring for an Indigenous Relations Advisor to join the organization.

The position is a new role and is part of the City’s commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls-to-Action. Its purpose is to provide leadership, cultural expertise, consultation, and guidance to lead the development and implementation of a Reconciliation Framework and Action Plan for the City of Grande Prairie.

Passionate Heart Awards Virtually Celebrate Contributors to Local Social Services

Six individuals and three organizations in the social services field were honoured at today’s Passionate Heart Awards.

This year is the 16th annual event and the second time the ceremony was held virtually.

 Sponsored by Family Community Support Services (FCSS) in the City of Grande Prairie, County of Grande Prairie and towns of Beaverlodge, Sexsmith and Wembley, the Passionate Heart Awards celebrate people, teams and businesses that make a difference in their communities by enhancing social services or generally improving quality of life in the region.

Nominations Open for 2021 Passionate Heart Awards

The County and City of Grande Prairie and towns of Beaverlodge, Sexsmith and Wembley are currently seeking nominations of outstanding individuals and local organizations in the social services sector for the 2021 Annual Passionate Heart Awards. 

Award nominations are open for people and organizations who contribute significantly to their community, enhance social services in the region, and are dedicated to improving quality of life.
