Due to inclement weather, the City of Grande Prairie fireworks display scheduled for Saturday, July 1 at Muskoseepi Park has been cancelled.
The fireworks will be re-scheduled for Sunday, July 2 at 11 p.m.
The drop-zone has been adjusted and visitors are reminded to follow directions on-site and not enter the flagged area.

Live entertainment kicks off at the amphitheater with Elder Theresa Gladue singing O’ Canada in Cree at 3:30 p.m. following the Canada Day parade. Live music continues with the following artists performing throughout the evening:

Beer gardens are also being held next to the amphitheater from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fire dancers are performing in the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion parking lot beginning at 11 p.m. to finish off the live performances before fireworks are set off over Muskoseepi Park reservoir at 11:30 p.m.
The Aquatera Outdoor Pool is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Canada Day in the following two-hour time slots for public swimming:
The outdoor pool will be cleared after each time slot to ensure more people can be accommodated throughout the day and so staff have an opportunity to clean and reset the facility before each public swim.
The Aquatera Outdoor Pool is drop-in only and it is recommended to come to the pool at the beginning of a new time slot as spaces are limited.
In addition to transit being free-of-charge, the City has extended the hours of service on July 1 as follows:
