• Accessibility Pass - Supported by Goodwill Industries

  The Accessibility Pass allows everyone to enjoy Canada Day to its fullest by ensuring people and families of people with physical or cognitive disabilities can go to the front of the line for carnival rides and face painting at the Canada Day celebration from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  Canada Day event goers interested can register for a free Accessibility Pass in advance by contacting AccessGP by calling 311 until June 30, 2026 at 6 p.m. No documentation is required for registration. 

  Pick Up 

  Registered Accessibility Pass holders can pick up their wristbands at the front desk of the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion on the day of the event. Each pass holder will receive an accessibility wristband and one additional wristband for their support person or guest.

Know Before You Go

• Parade Viewing

  • Bring a lawn chair, blanket or other low-profile seating that is comfortable and does not obstruct the view of others.
  • Please remain on the sidewalk and out of the roadway during the parade.
  • Public washrooms are not available along the parade route.
• Parking

  • Parking at Muskoseepi Park is unavailable during the event.
  • Accessible parking is available at the Grande Prairie Museum for visitors displaying a valid accessible parking placard. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Please allow extra travel time and consider walking, cycling or using transit where possible.
• Washrooms

  Public washrooms are available throughout the celebration, including:

  • Ernie Radbourne Pavilion (open noon to 11 p.m.)
  • Portable washrooms located throughout Muskoseepi Park
• Families

  • Small strollers are recommended, as sidewalk space along the parade route is limited.
  • Dress for the weather and be prepared for changing conditions.
• Food & Beverage

  Beer gardens will be open during the event. Alcohol purchased within the beer gardens must remain inside the licensed area.

  Outside alcohol is not permitted anywhere on the event site.

• Pets

  Canada Day celebrations include loud noises, fireworks and large crowds that may be stressful for pets. Residents are encouraged to leave pets at home if they are sensitive to these conditions.

• Help Keep the Park Clean

  Please dispose of garbage and recycling in the appropriate receptacles to help keep Muskoseepi Park clean and enjoyable for everyone.

• Be Respectful

  Canada Day is a community celebration. Please be courteous and respectful of fellow attendees, volunteers and event staff throughout the day.

• Photography and Videography

  The City of Grande Prairie will be capturing photographs and video throughout the Canada Day celebrations. Images may be used for municipal communications, promotional materials, publications, the City's website, social media, and historical or archival purposes.
