Ice control crews are sanding and salting priority 1 and 2 routes.

Crews are also plowing priority 2 roads and hauling center windrows.

Parking bans are in effect on all permanent snow routes.

A two-week rotation of residential snow clearing is not in effect at this time.

Parking Bans on Permanent Snow Routes Lifted

Parking bans on permanent snow routes have been lifted as of 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27.

The City thanks all residents for their cooperation during snow clearing efforts since parking bans began on January 2, 2019.

The parking bans began on January 2, since then the region experienced periods of heavy snow fall and extended cold snaps leading to crews using 8500 tonnes of sand, 2500 tonnes of salt and hauling 9621 loads of snow to the City Snow Dump.

Monument Permit

Complete this form when applying to install a monument in the City of Grande Prairie Cemetery. For cemetery monument specifications, please see the monument section of Bylaw C-1332.

Fees and Timelines

The permit fee is $86.75.  Please allow 7-10 business days to process.

Fees and rates will be updated effective January 1, 2026.

Some forms may not reflect the new fees.

Dust Suppression Application

Residents in our rural recently annexed areas can apply to have Dust Suppression Product applied on gravel roads to minimize dust. 

Fees and Timelines

Residents must apply for a minimum of 100m length of road way. The width of the treatment is 7 metres (23 feet). 

Application fee /100m section:

  • Residential: $500 ($5 per metre, including GST)
  • Commercial: $750 ($7.50 per metre, including GST)
