Fall Fitness Pass Discount Now Available at the Community Knowledge Campus

The City of Grande Prairie is offering a Fall Fitness Pass for visitors featuring five drop-in entries for the price of three at the Eastlink Centre and Twin Ice Arenas.

The Eastlink Centre is offering the Fall Fitness Pass after positive community response for the Summer Blast Pass. This pass will help residents visit the facilities at a discounted rate and stay active while the weather gets colder.

Eastlink Centre Offering Junior Lifeguard Club and Rookie Day Starting in September

The City of Grande Prairie is offering the Junior Lifeguard Club and Rookie Day this fall for youth ages 7 to 14 passionate about swimming or interested in becoming a lifeguard.

Junior Lifeguard Club provides another avenue for youth to become lifeguards in a fun way based on their personal-best achievements as opposed to a traditional test-based program.

Aquatera Utilities Inc. Named as the Official Naming Rights Partner for Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool

The City of Grande Prairie is pleased to announce Aquatera Utilities Inc. as the new naming rights partner for the Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool, to be renamed the Aquatera Outdoor Pool.

“Having Aquatera sign on as a naming rights partner for one of the City’s legacy recreational facilities is a major moment for Grande Prairie,” says Mayor Jackie Clayton. “These partnerships help enhance our offerings and build more affordable, accessible and inclusive communities for all of our residents, while demonstrating the positive impact of engaging relationships with our stakeholders.”

August Swimming Lessons Available at Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool

The City of Grande Prairie is thrilled to announce new preschool swimming lessons for children ages three to five at the Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool this August.

Outdoor pool sessions have been added to accommodate the high demand of families looking for swimming lessons in our community.  

Lifesaving Society Preschool one, two and three sessions take place Mondays to Fridays at various times between 10:30 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. during one of the following date ranges:

City Seeking Participants for Promotional Photoshoot with the Community Knowledge Campus

The City of Grande Prairie is looking for participants of all ages, abilities, sizes and family units to represent the Community Knowledge Campus (CKC) facilities in promotional photo shoots from July 19 to 22.

The City aims to have a diverse group of individuals participate to accurately reflect the community and facilities. Participants will receive free perks for their time including an Eastlink Centre day pass and swag items.

City Celebrating 60 Years of the Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool July 16

The Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool is celebrating 60 years in Muskoseepi Park on Saturday, July 16 with free public swimming (by donation), outdoor games, hourly giveaways and a large 1960s-themed prize pack.

Donations for entry to the outdoor pool will go to support Rise Above Aquatics, who will be at the celebration barbecuing hot dogs and hamburgers for guests to enjoy from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.  

City Offering Discounted Summer Passes for the Community Knowledge Campus

The City of Grande Prairie has released a new Summer Blast Pass offering Eastlink and Coca-Cola Centre visitors five entries for the price of three.

The Summer Blast Pass can be purchased for all age categories including family, senior and student rates from July 1 until August 31, 2022 and expires on September 30, 2022.          

The pass aims to give guests the opportunity to come to the Community Knowledge Campus, stay active and beat the heat this summer at a special discounted rate.

Final Week to Register for the 2022 Eastlink Centre Triathlon

Registration for the 2022 Eastlink Centre Triathlon closes on Sunday, July 3, 2022. The Eastlink Centre Triathlon has returned for the first time in three years and features a new date of July 10, 2022.
