Join the City of Grande Prairie and the Grande Prairie Local Immigration Partnership in celebrating Welcoming Week from September 13 to 22. This week is dedicated to connecting new arrivals with long-standing residents, fostering a sense of belonging throughout the community. Events during the week will showcase the extensive support, services, and amenities available in Grande Prairie, all while creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.
This year's theme, "We’re All In," encourages everyone to come together in celebrating the strengths, differences, and diverse perspectives that make our community vibrant. It’s a time to recognize that Grande Prairie is at its best when it values and embraces the varied backgrounds, experiences, and cultures within it.
Residents are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of free events, offering unique opportunities to connect, learn, and contribute to our shared sense of community. Most events are open to participants of all ages, unless otherwise noted, with some requiring registration to ensure a great experience for everyone.
For the week of September 13 to 22, we have a full calendar of events for everyone in the community. Check out the detailed descriptions of each event below the table.
