Community members are invited to join TD employee volunteers for the City’s TD Tree Days event in Grande Prairie on Sunday, September 14, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ivy Lake and 100 Avenue. This hands-on event will bring together volunteers to plant trees and shrubs, helping to grow greener, healthier spaces in our city.

Event Activities:

• Check-in with Site Leaders and receive gardening gloves.
• Planting demonstration and welcome.
• Hands-on planting of trees and shrubs.
• Mulching, placing tree guards and watering.

What to Bring

• Dress for the weather (rain or shine).
• Wear closed-toe, sturdy footwear.
• Bring a reusable water bottle; drinking water will be available onsite.
• Gardening gloves are provided, though you may bring your own.
• Sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended.
   

Safety Considerations

Volunteers should be prepared for wasps and ticks. Light-coloured clothing, long sleeves and pants tucked into socks are recommended.
