Join us for free activities on Saturday, September 2 in celebration of Alberta Day with free access to various City facilities, including the Eastlink Centre, Bonnetts Energy Centre, Aquatera Outdoor Pool, Activity & Reception Centre and Design Works Centre.

The Eastlink Centre, Aquatera Outdoor Pool and Activity & Reception Centre are available during regular facility hours with full, free access on a first-come, first-served basis, there is no pre-registration. See details below.

Activities:

Activity & Reception Centre

  • Drop-in activities | 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Aquatera Outdoor Pool

  • Public swimming | 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. in two-hour time slots

Bonnetts Energy Centre 

  • Public skate | 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Meet the Grande Prairie Storm skate and photos | 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Storm practice viewing | 3:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Design Works Centre

  • Public skate | 10 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. | 2 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. | 6 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.
  • Stick & puck ages 12 and under | 12 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.
  • Stick & puck ages 13+ | 4 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.
  • Shinny ages 16+ | 7 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.

Eastlink Centre

  • Facility access | 8 a.m.- 9 p.m.
  • Public swimming | 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. in two-hour time slots with the lane swim time at 8 a.m. and public swim time starting at 12 p.m.

The City also encourages residents to visit the Grande Prairie Museum or Reverend Forbes Homestead, where admission is always free, to learn more about our region’s history in Alberta.
