The City of Grande Prairie would like to inform residents and commuters about upcoming repaving work at the intersection of 84 Avenue and 108 Street.

The repaving occurs on the evenings of May 26 and May 27, between 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on both days.

"Our priority is to provide residents and commuters with improved road conditions and a safer, more efficient travel experience,” said Engineering Field Inspector, Monty Haughian. “The repaving work at 84 Avenue and 108 Street intersection enhances the overall road conditions, ensuring smoother journeys for all road users."

During construction, 84 Avenue is closed completely to all east/west travel. 108 Street will remain open with one lane north and south during the work. The intersection will open for travel during the daytime.

To facilitate smooth traffic flow and minimize inconvenience, detours will be in place to guide vehicles around the affected area.
