Why Vote?

Your City, Your Choice.
Voting is a fundamental right of every Canadian citizen and a key part of shaping your community. When you vote, you help decide who will lead and make decisions on the services that affect your daily life.

In the next election, Grande Prairie voters will elect a Mayor, Councillors, and School Board Trustees.

  • City Council sets the direction for Grande Prairie, influencing services like transit, parks, recreation, waste collection, drinking water, bylaw enforcement, and emergency services.
  • School Trustees oversee decisions on school budgets, facilities, and education priorities.

Participating in the election is how you make your voice heard and help shape Grande Prairie’s future. Learn more about City Council.

Who You are Electing:
