- City Council received an update from Alberta Health Services on the opening of the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital. The letter was received for information.
- City Council received a letter from the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation, thanking the City for previous contributions and requesting additional funds. The request for additional funds was deferred to fall budget deliberations.
- Council received a letter from the Downtown Association regarding a waiver of the BIA levies. The request was referred to the appropriate standing committee for discussion.

2022 Tax Rate Range
City Council set the target range for the 2022 budget at 1.4% to 2.4%, guiding administration as they prepare the 2022 budget for consideration this fall.
2021 Weed Inspectors
City Council appointed Gwen Lewis, Rebecca McTavish, and Lisa Makela as Weed Inspectors under the Weed Control Act of Alberta until December 31, 2021.
City Council appointed the Infrastructure & Economic Development Committee as an Independent Appeals Panel for 2021.
Property Tax Bylaw and Tax Penalty Relief Bylaw
Council approved the Property Tax Bylaw C-1434 and the Tax Penalty Relief in 2021 Bylaw C-1436, resulting in a Property Tax Due Date extension to August 31, 2021 and cancellation of late filing fees for the Tax Installment Payment Plan.
Special Recreational Services Tax Levy in Pinnacle Ridge
The Recreational Services Tax Levy Bylaw C-1435 was passed to support operations of a Pinnacle Ridge neighbourhood water feature, resulting in a $25 levy for residents in the prescribed area.
Elections Bylaw
City Council passed the Elections Bylaw C-1438, to reflect changes made by the province to the Local Authorities Election Act.
Procedure Bylaw
Council gave second reading to the Procedure Bylaw C-1299B. Council requested administration to bring further options to council regarding in-person council meeting attendance.
Fees, Rates, and Charges Bylaw
City Council made an amendment to the Fees, Rates, and Charges Bylaw C-1395G to ensure the drone pilot license fee is reflected at $50.
Amendment to the Municipal Development Plan
City Council amended the Municipal Development Plan maps to bring them into alignment with the new Transportation Master Plan.
Land Use Bylaw Amendment
City Council amended the Land Use Bylaw C-1260-135 to change land located in northeast Grande Prairie from agricultural zoning to arterial commercial zoning.
