The City of Grande Prairie is currently seeking applications for the Community Improvement Grant which provides opportunities for community groups and residents to start innovative and creative projects to improve the community.
To be eligible for the grant, projects must:
- Provide an overall benefit to a neighbourhood or community
- Involve a broad base of people to promote community development
- Build community connections
- Have a lifespan of a minimum of three years
Two funding options are available through this grant:
- A matching grant of up to $5000: The City will match contributions made by organizations towards a project. Multiphase projects will be considered but the same phase will not be funded more than once.
- A grant of up to $2,500: The City will fund one-time initiatives of up to $2,500. These initiatives must not be a part of multiphase projects.

The Community Improvement Grant is an amalgamation of the previous Parks Improvement, Community Enhancement, and Neighbourhood Matching Enhancement grants.
