Located in the Montrose Cultural Centre, the Grande Prairie Public Library has served the Grande Prairie area since 1939 and offers free membership. It is the largest library north of Edmonton and is a resource centre for the Peace Country. Each year, close to 250,000 people visit the Library and borrow 460,000 items.
