Public Member Appointments
City Council approved the following appointments to the Community Knowledge Campus Advisory Committee for a three-year term:
- Neil Tuazon
- Melissa Erikson
- Scott McFadyen
2021 Activity Report for the Disclosure of Wrongdoing and Reprisal Protection Provisions
City Council received for information the 2021 Activity Report for the Disclosure of Wrongdoing and Reprisal Protection Provisions.
The policy increases accountability and transparency across the organization by creating a safe and confidential process for concerns to be submitted.
Council directed administration to include in future disclosures: general comments about the category of each concern, a summary, the conclusion of investigations, and corrective actions that were taken.
2022 Advocacy Priorities
City Council approved the 2022 Council Advocacy Priority list, identifying five key areas of focus for advocacy to other levels of government.
The five key areas are:
- Addressing High Electricity and Natural Gas Distribution Costs
- Attraction and Retention of Health Care Professionals
- Local Government Funding Framework
- Provincial Support for Industrial Attraction programs
- Highway 40X – Southwest Ring Road

In-Camera Meeting Procedures via. Remote Access
Council passed Bylaw C-1299D being an amendment to the Procedure Bylaw that outlines steps for attendance at In-Camera sessions via remote access.
Land Use Bylaw Amendment C-1260-149
City Council approved an amendment to the Land Use Bylaw allowing for the development of a new location for the Sunrise House Youth Emergency Shelter so they can increase their capacity and expand the service to assist more people.
