A road rehabilitation project has begun in the Smith neighbourhood to improve the road surface, concrete, and some storm sewer infrastructure as part of the 2021 Road Rehabilitation Program.

Construction continues until the first week in October with work consisting of asphalt milling and replacement of existing roadway, some concrete work and minor storm sewer infrastructure repairs on 99 Avenue and 97 Avenue between 93 Street and 92A Street, and 92A Street between 99 Avenue and 96 Avenue.

It is anticipated that crews will operate from Monday to Saturday with roadway access granted to local traffic only. Short-term road closures are expected periodically.

Throughout construction the posted speed limit will be reduced to 30km/h. Drivers are reminded to proceed with caution around work crews.

The City appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding during construction.
