Wapiti Gravel Suppliers begins construction in the Crystal Ridge area on Sunday, August 8, weather permitting, as part of the 2021 Road Rehabilitation Program.
The work planned for the area consists of an asphalt milling and replacement of existing road structure with a new pavement structure, some concrete work and minor storm sewer infrastructure repairs on 117 Avenue and 118 Avenue between 98 Street and 97 Street, and 98 Street from 117 Avenue north to the cul-de-sac.
It is anticipated that crews will operate from Monday to Saturday. Roadway access will be granted to local traffic only and short-term road closures are expected periodically.
Construction continues until mid-September.
Throughout construction the posted speed limit will be reduced to 30km/h. Drivers are reminded to drive with caution around work crews.
The City appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding during construction.
