The City of Grande Prairie launches the new Grande Access Pass on April 6 which provides access to four City facilities, discounts and exclusive offers to help promote community wellness and active lifestyles.

The Grande Access Pass can be purchased as a one month, annual monthly or annual prepaid pass and features:

  • Drop-in access to the Eastlink Centre, Design Works Centre, Dave Barr Community Centre and Aquatera Outdoor Pool.
  • Ten per cent registration discount for City programs, camps and swimming lessons.
  • Ten per cent discount on birthday party packages for all City facilities.
  • Unlimited skate rentals at the Design Works Centre.
  • Four skate sharpenings annually at the Design Works Centre.
  • Everything you already love from an Eastlink Centre membership including access to amenities, drop-in instructor-led fitness classes, PlayCare for children ages six months to seven years old, drop-in activities and no contract.

“Council is excited to introduce the new Grande Access Pass, providing even more recreation opportunities through discounts, drop-ins and destinations at four City facilities and improving quality of life for our residents,” says Mayor Jackie Clayton. “This pass offers a comparable rate to Eastlink Centre membership and is included in the Recreation Access Program, making it accessible to community members from children to seniors.”

Existing Eastlink Centre members can easily upgrade to the Grande Access Pass by visiting a welcome desk at the Eastlink Centre and speaking with staff during their next visit. The benefits listed above are based on an adult membership, see full details at cityofgp.com/GrandeAccess.

Membership Adjustments

Changes to existing membership categories for both the Grande Access Pass and Eastlink Centre membership are taking effect to make navigation easier and more intuitive to meet customer needs.

Membership category changes include the removal of the six-month prepaid membership type and consolidation to create the Senior/Student/Youth category. The senior and student prices are being reduced to the same price as the existing youth pass, while youth fees will remain unchanged.

The City continues to offer the annual prepaid membership for both the Eastlink Centre and Grande Access Pass.
