The City of Grande Prairie is hosting their annual Halloween Spooktacular on October 31 for children 0-12, and is excited to introduce a new event, the Halloween Hunt, on Friday, October 29 for youth ages 13-17.
All provincial health measures will be in place at both events.
Halloween Spooktacular 2021
The City invites families with children ages 0-12 to dress up in costume and celebrate Halloween on October 31 at this outdoor, trick-or-treating style event at the Grande Prairie Museum.
The Halloween Spooktacular takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Guests must book their 30-minute timeslot in advance at cityofgp.com/Halloween beginning October 4. Tickets are $2 per child with no additional cost for adults accompanying children.
Please bring your own trick-or-treat bag. The event is outdoors and will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.

Halloween Hunt 2021
New this year at the Grande Prairie Museum’s Heritage Village, The Halloween Hunt takes place Friday, October 29 and welcomes youth aged 13-17 to participate in a spooky outdoor scavenger hunt after hours. Participants will explore the village at night while they complete challenges and hunt for answers for the chance to win a Halloween treat basket.
The event takes place from 7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
A smart phone or other web-enabled device is preferred to participate in this event. Free public wi-fi is available and print copies may be available for participants without a device.
Guests must book their 30-minute time slot in advance at cityofgp.com/halloweenhunt beginning October 4. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion and the Grande Prairie Museum. Tickets are $5 per person.
Teens are encouraged to sign up at the same time as friends to increase likelihood of being in the same time slot.
