On July 6, the public is invited to join the City of Grande Prairie and the Community Advisory Board on Housing and Homelessness (CABH) for their Annual Report to the Community on Ending Homelessness.
The event is being held at Teresa Sargent Hall in the Montrose Cultural Centre to present the results of Year 3 of Grande Prairie's Five Year Plan to End Homelessness (2015-2019). It is an opportunity to learn more about the Homeless Initiatives in Grande Prairie and the progress that is being made in supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the community.
Guest speakers with lived experience of homelessness displays from the Annual Homeless Initiatives programs, and other resources and services available in Grande Prairie will be featured. A free community BBQ is also taking place at the event.
The formal program takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the free barbeque is from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The City of Grande Prairie has a Five Year Plan to End Homelessness that was initiated in 2015.
