132 Avenue between 84 Street and 92 Street to be Temporarily Closed on July 15
City crews will be doing maintenance work to a culvert on 132 Avenue (Highway 670) between 84 Street and 92 Street on Sunday, July 15 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The work will result in a one-day closure of 132 Ave between 84 Street and 92 Street, including the intersection of 132 Avenue and 88 Street.
Traffic from 132 Avenue will be detoured along 92 Street, 156 Avenue, and 84 Street. Traffic within the Crystal Lake and Lakeland subdivisions will be detoured along Lakeland Drive to 92 Street.
The detours are depicted on this map.
Maintenance work and timelines are weather dependent. The City thanks residents for their patience and co-operation during maintenance work.

New Pedestrian Signals at 98 Street and 101 Avenue Activated
Pedestrian activated traffic signals at the intersection of 98 Street and 101 Avenue are now available for pedestrians to use.
The signals remain green for traffic travelling north/south on 98 Street and only change to red when a pedestrian activates the signal. Stop signs are in place for motorists travelling east/west on 101 Avenue; after coming to a full stop at the stop signs, motorists may turn onto 98 street when traffic permits.
Pedestrians are reminded to press the button and wait for traffic to stop before crossing the road.
Upgrades to the intersection, including street lighting and a pedestrian island, were installed to increase driver awareness of pedestrians crossing the four lane intersection.
