On Friday August 3, the 2018 Road Rehabilitation Program continues in two new locations resulting in reduced speeds and lane closures.

Crews will be working on Mission Heights Drive from 76 Avenue to Kateri Drive until mid-September. This work consists of milling and excavating the current road structure to install a new gravel base. Once the new gravel base is installed, pavement structure, spot replacement of concrete curb, line markings, minor storm sewer repairs, and landscaping will be completed.

In addition, for the month of August crews will be working on 84 Street from 68 Avenue to 100 Avenue. Construction will consist of spot deep patching, levelling out the existing roadway surface, the placement of a new asphalt surface, and pavement line markings.

At both locations, traffic will be reduced to one lane and the speed limit reduced to 30 km/h. The public are reminded to slow down and please use caution while travelling around the construction zone.

The road rehabilitation program is an annual capital construction program aimed to increase the life of the City's road network by undertaking maintenance work such as repaving large sections of road or rebuilding a road base.
