Advanced voting for the 2021 Municipal Election occurs on October 8, 9, 15, and 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Grande Prairie City Hall.
The municipal election is an opportunity for residents to select elected officials for the next four-year term. Advance voting allows residents to cast their ballot ahead of election day on October 18, 2021. Grande Prairie residents can vote for:
- 1 Mayor
- Up to 8 Councillors
- Up to 7 Public School Board Trustees
- Up to 5 Separate School Board Trustees Ward 1
To vote in the City of Grande Prairie municipal election, you, must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, a resident of the City of Grande Prairie on October 18, 2021 and bring acceptable ID to the voting location. A list of acceptable ID as well as more about the election, candidates, and where to vote, is available at cityofgp.com/election.
Grande Prairie residents will also cast their ballot for the Senate Election and two Referendum questions. The Senate Election and Referendum questions are posed by the Government of Alberta and are not affiliated with the City of Grande Prairie.
