Due to supply chain issues, the work scheduled for the evening of March 21 was not able to take place. 

The work has been rescheduled for this evening between 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Update: March 21, 3:00 p.m.

Additional time is required to complete the installation of new traffic signals at the intersection of 116 Street and 100 Avenue.

As a result, the intersection will have traffic controlled as a 4-way stop this evening between 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. 

The work is being completed during off-peak hours to minimize disruption to commuters.

The City of Grande Prairie is switching power to a new traffic signal at 116 Street and 100 Avenue on the evening of Saturday, March 18. 

The new signal has been installed to improve safety for residents and visitors by replacing old infrastructure.

During the switch to the new traffic signal, the existing signal will be turned off, resulting in temporary traffic controls. The work will be completed during off-peak hours from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. to minimize disruption.

Drivers are advised to be aware of the temporary traffic control changes at these intersections during the installation period.
