Help grow Grande Prairie’s urban forest by volunteering at TD Tree Days on Sunday, September 13.
The City of Grande Prairie is working with TD to bring together up to 30 volunteers to plant 169 trees and shrubs at Ivy Lake Park. The planting will contribute to Grande Prairie’s urban forest and enhance a public green space for the community to enjoy for years to come.
All community volunteers must register in advance through the TD Tree Days website to secure a spot.
Register for TD Tree Days at Ivy Lake Park
Each adult attending must create an account and register individually to complete the mandatory participant waiver. A photo waiver is also included and is optional.
Minors can be added to an adult’s registration.
Registering also ensures volunteers receive event reminders and updates about weather, safety, meeting points and other event details.
If the event reaches capacity, residents are encouraged to join the waitlist as spaces may become available closer to the event.
Students seeking volunteer hours can receive between one and three hours, depending on the event duration and how quickly planting is completed.
Anyone requiring signed documentation for their volunteer hours must bring their own form to the event. A Site Leader or Community Partner can confirm their participation.
