Join us for Self-Published: Zine Workshop, a free, all-ages zine-making workshop offered as part of Alberta Culture Days!

Discover the big world of zines! Small DIY publications that can combine writing, drawing, collage, comics, poetry, reviews, personal stories, and just about any other form of creative expression you can think up. Work at your own pace in a welcoming, low-pressure studio environment, connect with other makers and create your own mini-zine using a single sheet of paper. No previous experience is necessary, and all supplies will be provided. The workshop is open to all ages, with examples and prompts designed especially for youth and young adults. Children under 14 are welcome to participate with adult supervision. This program is in partnership with the Grande Prairie Public Library to help support the creation of a public Zine Collection where community members can access and donate zines for the benefit of everyone!
