Event Category: General Interest
Location: Ernie Radbourne Pavilion, Muskoseepi Park

The City of Grande Prairie, with support from Aquatera Utilities Inc. and Goodwill Industries of Alberta, is hosting the annual Drop & Swap at the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion in Muskoseepi Park.

Drop & Swap gives residents an easy way to clear out their closets, share good clothing with the community and help keep usable items out of the landfill. Giving clothing another life helps make better use of the water, energy and materials that went into producing it while giving someone else the chance to enjoy it.

Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
Time: Noon to 4 p.m.
Location: Ernie Radbourne Pavilion, Muskoseepi Park
Cost: Free

How Drop & Swap works

Drop & Swap happens in two steps:

1. Drop off clothing: October 14 to 16
Bring clean, gently used clothing to the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

These donations will stock the racks for Saturday’s community swap. Please bring only clean, non- stained or damaged usable clothing.

2. Come to the swap: Saturday, October 17
Return to the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion anytime between noon and 4 p.m. to browse and take home new-to-you clothing for free.

Everyone is welcome and you do not need to donate clothing to participate in the swap. Bring a reusable bag for your finds.

There’s no need to arrive when doors open. Clothing is continually refreshed throughout the event, so residents are encouraged to stop by anytime between noon and 4 p.m.

Why Drop & Swap?

Extending the life of clothing helps reduce waste and makes better use of resources that have already gone into producing the items we own. By passing along clothing that still has life left in it, residents can clear some space at home, share useful items with the community and help keep clothing out of the landfill.

Any clothing remaining after the swap will be collected by Goodwill Industries of Alberta for reuse, resale or repurposing where possible.
