Proclamations

Deputy Mayor, Jena Flach, proclaimed July 19 to 25, 2026, as National Drowning Prevention Week in the City of Grande Prairie, recognizing the importance of water safety and drowning prevention.

Delegations

Chandace Savidan presented to Council regarding concerns about storm drainage in her neighbourhood. Council directed Administration to write a letter to Aquatera requesting more information about inspections of existing lines in the Mountview neighbourhood, and to report back at a future Committee of the Whole meeting.

Pete Kisner presented to Council regarding the 2026 Mission Estates Storm Rehabilitation. Council received this presentation for information.

Reports

Council endorsed Mayor Jackie Clayton to serve as a committee member on committees of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' (FCM) Board of Directors. Council also approved funding for attendance at FCM meetings.

2026 Mid-Year Capital Budget Request 

Council approved two mid-year capital budget requests, including funding to replace the Saint Lawrence Centre roof and the waiver of development permit fees for the Multi-Sport Dome project.

Lot Grading Bylaw Amendment C-1366B

Council approved an amendment to the Lot Grading Bylaw through Bylaw C-1366B, ensuring the City's grading requirements remain current while helping reduce drainage issues for property owners.
