The City of Grande Prairie Transit is offering complimentary shuttle service during the 2026 Grande Prairie Stompede from Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 31.
Residents and visitors can ride free between Towne Centre Mall and Tara Centre throughout Stompede weekend, making it easier to get to and from the grounds.
Towne Centre Mall serves as one of the City’s main transit hubs, allowing riders to connect with neighbourhood transit routes across Grande Prairie before and after attending Stompede events.
“Stompede weekend is a long-standing tradition in Grande Prairie and something many residents and visitors look forward to each year,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “The free shuttle service is one way the City can help people get to the grounds, enjoy the festivities and spend more time taking in everything the weekend has to offer.”
The shuttle service will operate on a continuous loop between the two locations during scheduled service hours. Riders are encouraged to plan ahead and check the full route schedule before travelling.
Full shuttle schedule and route information is available at cityofgp.com/routes.
The City of Grande Prairie is proud to support the Grande Prairie Stompede and help residents and visitors enjoy one of the community’s signature events.
