The City of Grande Prairie invites residents, businesses, community groups and regional partners to join us March 31 for State of the City: Grander Conversations, a look back at 2025 and a thoughtful conversation about what lies ahead for Grande Prairie and northwest Alberta.

This year’s event brings together municipal and regional leadership for meaningful discussion grounded in progress, partnership and shared priorities.

“This event is about perspective,” says Mayor Clayton. “It is an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come, to bring local leadership into one room, and to have grounded conversations about what it takes to keep building a strong, resilient and growing community. The progress we are seeing across Grande Prairie and the wider region is the result of partnership, and that is exactly what this event is designed to highlight.”

The program will feature remarks and regional perspective from the County of Grande Prairie and the Municipal District of Greenview, alongside updates on transformative projects shaping the region.

A panel will bring together voices from our community representing four interconnected pillars of a strong region: health care, Northwestern Polytechnic, Grande Prairie Police Service and Invest Northwest.

Together, the panel will explore how health care, education and skilled trades, public safety and regional economic development work in tandem to support sustainable growth across northwest Alberta.
