Small Business Week Proclamations
The City joined the County of Grande Prairie and the Chamber of Commerce to proclaim October 16 to 22 as Small Business Week in the region.
The week celebrates small businesses for being a vital part of our economy and for building vibrant amenities and services.

Delegations
Salvation Army – The Salvation Army presented to City Council related to the current state of food security in the community and made a request for capital funding. City Council deferred the request for $200,000 in funding to fall budget deliberations.
Bilyana Coburn – Ms. Cohen presented to City Council regarding a fundraiser for seniors and children in more rural areas of war-torn Ukraine. Council Directed administration to report to the appropriate standing committee the current practices for charitable drop-offs.
Procedure Bylaw and Subdivision Authority Bylaw Amendments
City Council approved changes to the procedure bylaw, and subdivision authority bylaw to reflect changes to the committee structure.
Urban Forest Strategy
City Council referred capital requests related to the Urban Forest Strategy totalling $240,000 to budget deliberations.
If approved at budget deliberations, the money would fund tree planting in key locations, as well as the development of an urban forest plan.
Coordinated Care Campus Capital Funding Request
Council approved $3 million for Phase 3 - the final phase of construction of the Coordinated Care Campus. $1,673,000 was funded from existing capital dollars from Land Acquisition for Road Projects, and the remainder was funded by the Financial Stabilization Reserve.
