Applications are now open for the City of Grande Prairie’s Community Microgrant Funding.
The Community Microgrant is intended to foster connections and pride in the community through the funding of gatherings, projects, and celebrations of arts and culture. It provides individuals and groups with funding up to a maximum amount of $1,500.
This new funding stream was developed through a consolidation of existing grants to better improve accessibility of funding and take a progressive approach to grants based on community trends.
Applications are available at cityofgp.com/funding and are open year-round with no deadline. Applications received will be assessed on a monthly basis as funds allow.
“Introducing the Community Microgrant Funding is one way we are responding to our community group’s needs to better support them and the vibrant and diverse events and initiatives they add to our city,” says Mayor Jackie Clayton. “We look forward to the positive impact this granting is going to have, and the many unique opportunities it will support to boost community pride and quality of life.”
There are no submission deadlines for this fund. Applications will be accepted up until the funds available have been exhausted.
Applications received in full will be assessed on a monthly basis.
