2023 How Did the Chicken Cross the Road Contest Winners

In a joint initiative to elevate road safety awareness among the city's youth, the City of Grande Prairie and the Safer Roads Alliance proudly announce the return of the "How Did the Chicken Cross the Road?" Student Road Safety Contest.

We want you to show off your talents by creating cool art about crossing the road safely! Whether you like painting, sculpting, taking pictures, or making movies, this is your chance to shine.

The best part? You can win cash prizes, and we've got different categories for all ages! 

Age Categories:

• Kindergarten - Grade 3
• Grade 4 - Grade 7
• Grade 8 - Grade 12

Prizes: 

• 1st prize: $500
• 2nd prize: $300
• 3rd prize: $200

Let your imagination run wild while making sure everyone knows how to be safe when crossing the road. Contest closes November 24, 2023. 



There are no restrictions on the number of entries a child submits, but they can only be awarded one prize.

The contest is open to anyone attending school in Grande Prairie - regardless of where they live.
