All Grande Prairie immigrants ages 16 years or older are invited to participate in a survey to share their experiences about living in our community to help improve the lives of newcomers, immigrants, and refugees in Grande Prairie.

Topics covered include demographic information, employment and income, use of community services, housing, sense of belonging, challenges and solutions, communication and more.

The survey is open until September 30 and is available in English, as well as French, Filipino, Punjabi, Hindi, Arab, Ukrainian, and other languages when opened with the Google Chrome browser. Participants who complete the survey can also enter into a prize draw to win $500 towards gas and groceries.

“As a city, we value the insights of all individuals who call Grande Prairie home,” said Mayor Jackie Clayton. “Gathering information from immigrants about their stories and experiences is essential to ensure that Grande Prairie continues to be a welcoming and inclusive community. Their perspectives help us to create a stronger, more harmonious community that is built on a foundation of diversity.”

The survey can be completed online at engage.cityofgp.com/immigration.
