The City of Grande Prairie is excited to announce its new Harvest Festival event in Muskoseepi Park, the Grande Prairie Museum and Heritage Village on Saturday, September 24 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Harvest Festival is a free, family-friendly event packed with various fun activities including:
- Bluegrass music in the amphitheatre
- Straw bale maze in the museum parking lot
- Busker and wine tasting in the Heritage Village
- Beer gardens
- Chili cook off
- Pie eating contest
- Photo booth
- Petting zoo

Call for Chili Cook Off Competitors
Do you have a crowd favourite chili recipe? Join in on the fun and enter the chili cook off at Harvest Festival.
Everyone is welcome to enter if the food for the competition is prepared in an Alberta Health Services (AHS) approved kitchen. The City has AHS approved kitchens in Muskoseepi Park and the Eastlink Centre available to rent.
Prizes will be given to the first, second and third place chilis based on taste by a panel of judges. Competitors are also welcomed to sell their chili to event goers after the competition is over if they have a business licence and proof of insurance.
