Next week, crews are removing and replacing large concrete seat walls located along 100 Avenue between 98 Street and 99 Street.

A large crane is used to move the structures and to ensure the safety of the crew and the public, 100 Avenue between 98 Street and 99 Street is closed to westbound traffic between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on June 27 and 28.

The work is being done in the early morning hours to reduce disruptions to commuters, businesses, and visitors to the downtown.

Westbound traffic on 100 Avenue is detoured at 98 Street to 101 Avenue.

The seat walls provide seating and serve as a barrier for shrubs at intersections and mid-block crossing locations.
