In recognition of International Volunteer Day (December 5, 2021), the Grande Prairie Regional Association of Volunteer Organizations (the Association), their sponsors and the City of Grande Prairie gathered to present their respective annual volunteer awards on December 6.

The filmed ceremony will be published online for all to enjoy later this month. The Association awarded the Leaders of Tomorrow Awards presented by ATCO and the Volunteer of the Year Awards. The City of Grande Prairie presented the George Repka Outstanding Achievement Award and the Bill Bowes Volunteer Organization of the Year Award.

The George Repka Outstanding Achievement Award was awarded to John Boyle and Joseph Redhead.

The Salvation Army of Grande Prairie received the Bill Bowes Volunteer Organization of The Year Award
