The City of Grande Prairie invites the community to visit Muskoseepi Park for a New Years Eve-ning Out on December 31 with a variety of winter activities, live entertainment, hot chocolate and more.

Live entertainment outside on the Amphitheatre features Halo Tribal Fire Dancing, Mearon, and more.

Skating on the pond, horse and wagon rides in the park, and an Indigenous Story Walk and snowshoeing are available for people to join in to celebrate the new year. Registration is required for the horse and wagon rides and is available at cityofgp.com/nye.

A festive, pet-friendly photo booth will be in the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion for families to get holiday photos with their furry companions.

Additionally, in the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion, a giant New Years Resolution Tree is being displayed on a wall for residents to add their resolutions as we branch into 2022. Submissions can be submitted to programming@cityofgp.com, the Muskoseepi Park Facebook page, or in-person at the pavilion to be printed off and posted on the tree.

The New Years Eve-ning Out takes place from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and finishes with a dual fireworks display in designated viewing areas over the reservoir and CKC East Field.

All provincial health protocols will be in place for the event, including reduced capacity and masking indoors. For full details and to stay up-to-date on the event, visit cityofgp.com/nye.

The City of Grande Prairie wishes everyone a safe and festive New Year’s Eve.
