Delegations

A representative from the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers provided an industry update.

Renee Charbonneau presented an update on the Veterans’ Memorial Garden.

Nitehawk Year-Round Adventure Park presented an update on the facility and request a reallocation of Capital funding from the City to be used towards Operating due to COVID19 financial impacts.

CAO Update

City Manager Horacio Galanti provided an update on the City’s COVID-19 response, including highlights from each service area.

Policing Advisory Committee

Council adopted the presented Terms of Reference in support of the Policing Advisory Committee.

Economic Development Update

Council directed the Mayor to write a letter to Premier Kenney, highlighting two key items:

1. Identify the City of Grande Prairie's support in a region by region approach regarding a reopening and recovery plan; and

2. Highlighting the City of Grande Prairie as willing to adapt and request the province’s advice on how to best prepare our region to meet the province’s conditions for a relaunch.

Unaudited Financial Statements - December 2019

Council approved the transfer of the 2019 operating surplus of $385,000 to the Financial Stabilization Reserve, as per Policy 346.

2019 Audited Consolidated Financial Statements

Council approved the audited consolidated financial statements of the City of Grande Prairie for the year ended December 31, 2019.

Correspondence

The City received correspondence from the Municipal District of Greenview regarding the Tri-Municipal Industrial Partnership.
