The Grande Prairie Community Opioid Response Task Force is hosting multiple opioid crisis education sessions in the coming weeks to provide education and resources to members of the community impacted by the crisis.

Two sessions are being held, with each session focusing on different pillars of the Grande Prairie Community Opioid Response Recommendations.

Session 1: Treatment + Recovery and Policing

Date: Wednesday, May 29

Time: 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.

Session 2: Prevention and Harm Reduction

Date: Monday, June 10

Time: 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.

Both sessions take place in the Rotary Community Room in the Montrose Cultural Centre, in partnership with the Grande Prairie Public Library.

The sessions will feature a screening of the Critical Condition: The Opioid Crisis in Grande Prairie video series, presentations from experts and an audience Q&A.

Limited seating is available so registration is required by calling the Grande Prairie Public Library at 780-357-7455 or online through the events calendar at gppl.ca.

These sessions are free to attend and open to everyone in the community.
